According to the book, this carbine was supposed to have a 17.6" barrel and the front sight is supposed to have protective ears which are not present. So may be an altered rifle. Matching serial number on barrel, frame, stock, bolt, floorplate. Crest has been ground off. No visible import stamps.
Brown patina on chamber. Balance of frame and barrel retain approximately 95% blue, same on band and forend tip. Military rear sight to 2,000 meters with straw colored spring. Fire blued bolt release. Bolt finished in the white. Magazine and trigger guard a mix of blue-brown patina. Stock is near mint. Fine bore and action. Comes with a period sling.
