Issued 1936 to 1949. This is the last bolt action rifle contracted by a major military power. Fairly scarce, all original, all matching numbers, pre-war not reissued with the original black lacquer finish. Matching numbers on frame, bolt, stock, hand guard, floorplate and trigger guard. Import stamped on right side of barrel. Standard issue three piece walnut stock set. Single barrel band with lanyard ring. Military sights. 75% original lacquer on frame. Balance of metal is a dull military matte finish. Stock is excellent with a few minor dings. Very good bore and action.
