(A) Stevens Model 311, 12 bore side by side shotgun. Manual ejector, has full matted rib, light gathering front sight, retains approx. 95% original factory blue finish, frame retains virtually all of the beautiful original finish, trigger guard has all of the original finish as well, and stocks are very good with the usual minor abrasions. Has a black composite buttplate, double set triggers, This beautiful shotgun has seen very little use. Mint bores and action. (B) Stevens Model 142C semi-automatic shotgun with Tenite stock. Blued finish. Barrel retains 70% of the original factory blue, starting to thin. Frame retains approx. 85% blue with high edge wear and some scattered marks. Trigger guard has some paint loss on edges. The Tenite stocks shows usual minor scratches but are in excellent condition, no cracks. These early post - war guns were susceptible to breakage and warping and have been extremely hard to find. Mirror bore, fine action. This is one of those unusual guns that rarely shows up in good condition. Recently, at a major gun shows, a collector had a whole collection of Stevens Post - War Tenite guns. This is a nice lot of Stevens shotguns.
