The long saber bayonet lug that's featured on this rifle is most commonly seen on the Argentine, Egyptian, Greek, and Civil Guard models. The Danish made rolling block also used the long bayonet lug as well. Features; octagon breech, no markings on this rifle besides the original Remington markings on the tang which has been drilled and a long range tang sight has been installed. The military rear sight has been removed, and has a standard front sight. Made without hand guard, has the three band full length walnut forend with carbine butt, and top of comb is stamped with R. Has two sling swivels, frame colors have patterned out and barrel and bands retain approximately 90% of the military dull blue finish mixed with patina. Walnut stocks are excellent with a few usual dings. Action is perfect with a strong, clean bore. Tang sight needs proper screws. Replacement military sight is easily obtainable.
