This was the first Mauser produced by Mexico at the Fabrica Nacional de Cartuchos and the Fabrica Nacional de Armes in Mexico City; this is the latter manufacture. It is similar to the Model 1902 rifle with straight grip stock and bayonet stud. The factory stamp can be found on top of chamber. This rifle is dated 1931. Bolt is numbered to frame, as is trigger guard. Stock is also numbered 12821 as well as 42943. Has nearly full length hardwood stock, half length hardwood hand guard, factory blue finish, bolt is in the white, smooth steel buttplate, two sling swivels, two bands and period rod. Buttplate retains 20% blue. Rifle retains approximately 90% of the arsenal blue finish. Stocks are excellent. Fine bore and action.
