This is a standard Martini falling block action made at the Birmingham Small Arms factory in Birmingham, England so stamped on top of barrel on left side of frame. Right side of frame is stamped "COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA" and 2434. Has the "D D" Australian mark with arrowhead. Top of chamber is stamped with a kangaroo. Features a military sight, long forend, single barrel band with swivel, straight walnut stock and smooth metal buttplate. Overall the metal has a blue-grey smooth patina finish. Stock is excellent with a couple of minor usual abrasions. The rifled bore is excellent. Perfect action.
