Charles Paillet (French, 1871-1937) sculpted this fine example of a proud stag. His signature "ch. Paillet" is inscribed in the base along with a partially obscured "Medaille d'or" which translates to "Gold medal". The stag has a light brown / golden patina, while the patina on the base is dark brown. It is mounted on the thin marble plinth with a plaque that reads, "Walking Deer / ch. Paillet".

Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).
