These big single action revolvers were manufactured in the 1880's. This example has a replaced sideplate. Frame is engraved and stamped "Russian Model" on left side, and has an animal panel scene on right side. There has been a repair at top locking lug. The black composite grips are replacements. Barrel has a top strap repair. Not engraved. Barrel is stamped "558"; cylinder is stamped "558" and not engraved. Cylinder does not index. Locking lug at bottom of frame has been repaired and is ill-fitting. Strong rifling. Has that Old West/South of the Border, well-used appearance but would need some attention to the mechanics and repairs. Would also be a good parts gun.
