Rifled octagonal steel barrel with large rear sight and small brass front sight. Percussion lockplate stamped "LONDON/WARRANTED" and has a sprig of engraving near the tail. Crude iron trigger guard, held in place by four screws. Brass ramrod ferrules, sideplate retained by three screws, and small barrel pin escutcheons. Full length figured maple stock with pewter nose cap and buttcap. Very good condition; lock and barrel retain a heavy brown patina, some pitting at breech and muzzle. Brass retains dark patina. Stock has scattered marks from use and a few minor age cracks.
