Probably first quarter 19th century. Round smoothbore steel barrel, marked with crown over "R" on left side, near breech. Flintlock mechanism with rounded lockplate stamped with crown over stylized initials between the cock and pan. Standard brass furniture on full-length walnut stock. Iron lanyard ring on buttcap. Very good condition; lock and barrel retain a light grey patina with some minor freckling. Brass unpolished. Stock with a few scattered marks from use.
