Round, smoothbore steel barrel, stamped "P/US". Flat lockplate stamped, "S NORTH/U/eagle/S/MIDTN." Rounded tang, brass pan and reinforced cock. Walnut stock fitted with standard steel Model 1816 furniture. Plain wooden ramrod. Very good condition; barrel, lock and furniture all retain an even brown patina with some darker areas and scattered areas of light pitting. Original flintlock configuration with some light wear to markings. Stock is good with a crack stemming from lock tang to breech and with a few small chips and marks form use. Cartouche still visible with small brass, diamond-shaped inlay directly behind it.
