Round steel smoothbore barrel marked with two British proof marks on left side of breech and a crown on tang. Flat lockplate with large crown over "GR" cipher in center, small British ordnance arrow with crown, and "TOWER" engraved vertically at tail with sprig of engraving. Reinforced flintlock cock. Standard brass New Land Pattern furniture, including serpentine "S" sideplate , brass semi-stirrup buttcap, and brass nosecap. Complete with steel swivel ramrod stamped with small crown. Full length wood stock with several unclear ordnance stamps and storekeeper's marks. Good condition; barrel and lock retain a pitted brown patina. Brass furniture with scattered marks from use. Stock has spurious "1779" date carved between lock tail and barrel tang. Stock with large replaced area beneath ramrod channel, a small area of losses on stock behind trigger guard bow, where pistol was hung, and a series of dents and marks.
