The Model 600 was introduced in 1964 and only made till 1967. It was offered in five calibers with the .35 Remington being the largest and most powerful. It was considered to be one of the best brush guns of its time and is still popular in the Eastern deep woods. With the various updated models, these short barreled carbines were available till 1979. This rifle features the composition vent rib, high profile front sight, blued finish, press checkered pistol grip walnut stock with Monte Carlo comb, Remington black composite buttplate, composition trigger guard; all of these features kept this carbine to an extremely lightweight. This rifle has a set of Weaver mounts and rings are installed. Rifle remains in fine to near mint condition. Retains virtually all of the blue finish but the wood has a couple of minor storage marks. Factory installed sling eyes. Fine bore and action. Extremely nice condition, early and scarce model 600. Due to the short production and the fine qualities of this rifle, these continue to increase in popularity amongst both shooters and collectors.
