Tapered straight diamond section steel blade with engraved and gilt decorated British crest and "FOR MY COUNTRY AND KING" on each side on blade. Gilt brass hilt with heart-shaped guard, quillon engraved with a daisy, and knucklebow engraved with florals and wreaths. Engraved urn pommel with faceted sides, engraved scrolls, and high knob-shaped turned capstan. Grip tapered at each end wrapped with braided copper wire and stiff leaf ferrules at each end. Very good condition; blade retains a light grey patina with scattered minor spotting. Hilt retains much of gilt finish with some minor edge wear, a few scattered marks, and a series of minor nicks on right side of guard.
