Comprising: A) German field artillery officer's sword with etched blade featuring artillery motifs and a large blued panel etched with inscription "1. Garde Feld Artillerie Regiment" and opposite side with a blued scene of a horse-drawn wagon of artillery. Reverse "P" steel hilt shagrin grip wrapped with braided brass wire. Steel scabbard with black paint. Very good condition; blade retains 90% of finish in blued panels with some minor freckling in bluing and on other etched panels. Hilt very good but has been heavily polished; still showing some minor pitting. Scabbard very good with a few scuffs and scattered marks from use. B) Imperial Officer's Lion Pommel Sword - Curved single fuller blade featuring etched panels on both sides; one side displaying Imperial eagle, arms motifs and etched "EISENHAUER"; opposite side decorated with scrolls, arms motifs and stamped "EWALD CLEFF / SOLINGEN" which is also etched on the spine. Gilt brass hilt with reverse "P" knuckle bow displaying flaming bomb and Acanthus leaves. Relief lion's head pommel and shark skin covered grip wrapped with silver wire. Very good condition; blade has some very minor freckling, hilt retains about 90% original gilt finish. Nickel plated scabbard frosted with some light surface rust.
