Slightly curved single fuller blade, etched nearly entire length on both sides, one side with a ribbon reading "PRESENTED TO" with the remainder of inscription having been intentionally removed. Both sides decorated with extensive scrolls and foliage. Left side of ricasso marked "HEBERT/&CO/COVENTRYS/LONDON" and the other side with a round silver "PROVED" inlay within a six-pointed star. Solid German silver guard featuring the British crest in high relief. Guard and counterguard are pierced and decorated with scrolls, in addition. Spine and pommel also decorated with relief thistles, grip covered with shagrin and wrapped with copper wire. Complete with steel scabbard with German silver mounts. Good condition; blade excellent, guard with a few minor losses on each side on crown, grip excellent. Scabbard has been cleaned and one of the hanging rings has been replaced.
