Comprising: A) French Cavalry Saber. Long straight steel blade with double fullers, top marked with French "L" mark and two "B" marks, top of spine inscribed "Waterloo 1815". Brass hilt with leather-wrapped wood grip with braided wire wrap, hilt has French marks. Steel scabbard painted black. Very good condition; blade excellent with some wear from scabbard. Scabbard shows some pitting beneath re-painted surface. B) Cavalry Saber with 18th Century Polish Blade. Double fullered blade inscribed "NO ME ENBAINES SIN HONOR" on one side and "NO ME SAPUES SIN RAZON" on the other. Brass hilt with knucklebow and two branches. Leather and copper wrapped grip. Steel scabbard with ring at top mount. Very good condition; blade very good as heavily cleaned, some scattered marks. Scabbard retains a spotted brown patina, grip and hilt very good with scattered minor marks.
