DUV manufacturing code and dated 1944. "DUV" stands for Berliner-Lubecker Maschinenfabrik, Lubeck Plant. The G 43 was an improved version of the G 41, introduced in 1943. The G 43 was built by Carl Walther with the ac code, but this has the DUV code used on the Model G 41. Has laminate wood stock. Frame retains 98% of the black enamel. Cover is brown patina. Barrel and forend are black enamel. Threaded for flash suppressor. "K43" Nazi marked magazine with enamel still present in recesses. Cupped aluminum buttplate missing trapdoor. Trigger guard is brown patina. 1" crack at top of wrist and forearm has a 2" crack, both of which are easily repairable. Left side of stock has some carvings. Waffenamt stamp with Nazi eagle on left side of frame. Has a period sling. Very good bore and action.
