Manufactured in 1919 - 1942. Built on the round butt, I-frame, five screw, blue finish, six shot, round blade front sight, Smith & Wesson logo on left side of frame, case colored hammer and trigger, matching serial number on bottom of barrel and back of cylinder, diamond checkered walnut grips have serial number written in pencil on right panel, bottom of left grip is stamped, "PAT. JUNE 5. 1917". Cylinder has light drag line and high edge wear, light wear at muzzle, few areas of very light age freckling. Still retains 96% of factory blue finish. Has a strong, clear, mirror bore. Perfect action with near mint grips. Early example with no emblem.
