Manufactured in 1883. Standard rifle features full octagon barrel, full magazine, original Winchester sporting front and rear sights, blue finish, walnut stocks with rifle buttplate. This is simply a nice honest old 73. Barrel and tube are a smooth mix of blue with dark brown patina with a very nice look. There is a light crack on the forend that extends 4" that can easily be repaired and missing the left nose cap screw. Frame has some blue shining through but is basically a soft smooth patina. 80% original blue on loading gate. Case colors have darkened on lever and hammer. Stocks are very good with usual dings, but no major cracks or problems and are proud to metal. Strong clean rifled bore. You will like this rifle as it has the perfect look for an old 73.
