Manufactured 1942. Right side of the frame is stamped "US" with Ordnance bomb. "PW" stamp on top of frame. This is an unusual gun in that there are no Winchester markings. Barrel is stamped with stats on right side. Top of barrel has a block letter "P" with serifs. Takedown separation at frame but no takedown capability at tube. Has the grooved corncob walnut forend with matching serial numbers. Winchester font and arrows. Pistol grip walnut stock with solid red period Winchester pad. Stock is in excellent condition with no cracks. Overall metal retains 95% original blue finish with razor sharp legends. Blue is thinning on top barrel breech and a few areas of light toning. This is first of this type of U.S. marked shotgun we have seen.
