Approximately 31,000 civilian pistols were manufactured during the first World War. This has all of the early correct parts to include wide short spur checkered hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, long smooth trigger, diamond checkered walnut grips. Last patent date August, 13th, 1913 on slide. Pony at rear with no circle. Hammer recess on slide stamped with a "Z" and "S". Blued barrel with "P" stamp at base. Fine bore. Has a beautiful two toned tempered magazine with lanyard ring. Very good to excellent diamond checkered walnut grips with one small chip at bottom right front. Grip straps have silvered out. Frame retains approximately 75% high polish blue finish. Has takedown line. High polish blue slide retain approximately 75-80% blue with some wear serrations on top.
