Exactly 564 of these pistols were manufactured by Mauser for military sales to Portugal. The GNR stamped above chamber stands for "Garde Nationale Republicanie" (Republic National Guard). Manufactured in 1935. All records provided by the Portuguese government. Both pistols feature blue finish, straw colored small parts, Nitre blue accents with checkered walnut grips. Gun serial No. 1952 has matching serial numbers stamped on both grip panels, and all other matching numbers. Beautiful straw colors and bright Nitre blue. 95% original blue finish with the majority of the wear on the sideplate and grip straps. Toggle has the Mauser banner stamp. Fine bore and action. Includes an aluminum bottom magazine; not numbered. Frame is stamped "Carregada" under extractor. The second gun, serial No. 1953, is in about the same basic condition with matching numbers. It, too, has the matching numbers stamped on both walnut grips panels and an aluminum bottom magazine; not numbered.
