Manufactured 1918. This was a standard U.S. Model 1911 manufactured the last year of war in 1918 that was refinished and sent to Belgium. Has Belgium proofs of the left side of slide to include a lion and "P.V.", similar markings on left side of frame. Inspector markings on frame have been polished off. Has all proper 1918 parts to include smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard, long smooth trigger, short wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, correct sights. Has the proper "HP" sans serif barrel, used from serial number 137000 to 425000. Correct diamond checkered walnut grips. Includes two early, pinned, unmarked fully blued magazines. Grips are very good to excellent. Bore is very good with sharp rifling and minor pitting. Pistol retains approximately 95% of the reapplied blue finish. Comes with a 1918 dated holster in very good condition with some minor tears on front. "A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this item will benefit the Canadian Sport Shooters Association."
