This lot consists of a portrait of Frederick Ramey, painted almost in the likes of John Singer Sargent. The gentleman painted has his body and face turned into a ¼ profile, as he gazes straight ahead. The strokes that the artist used appear playful and light. He is dressed in a dark colored coat, with black vest, white collared shirt and a bright red tie. The documentation on the verso of the piece notes the title, the subject along with approximate date- circa mid 1900's. The piece was not examined out of the frame and displays normal wear. The painting is framed in a gold colored wooden frame.
Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).
