This lot consists of an early city scape, that to the viewer today would appear as rural America. Depicted in the foreground of the image is a farmer with an axe thrown over his shoulder. This farming area is along the coast of a river, and thus a wonderful area to start a community. In the middle ground and background are roaring hills that have orchards, farms, and houses. The image was not examined out of the frame, however it does appear that the artist signed the image on the lower right. This signature is slightly covered by the frame. The piece is framed in a large gold colored frame that is ornately carved. Normal wear is present.
Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).
