This lot consists of a portrait of President Roosevelt as he reclines sideways, overlooking his shoulder, on a green chair. The portrait, which was done on metal, displays a the President's body in a three quarter profile with a full on portrait of his face. He dons a tan colored jacket, white shirt and dark brown tie. As he gazes at the viewer he holds a lit cigarette in one hand and in the other a match, as that arm rests on the armrest of the chair. The painting is encased in a wooden frame that has carved detailing, but displays either wood or paint deficient areas. Normal wear and paint deficient areas on the portrait are visible as well. The painting has not been examined out of the frame.
