This lot consists of a riverscape painting. Depicted in this image is a bridge that crosses a river, with at least two covered areas that are reminiscent of the red covered bridges in Lancaster county. On the right side of the canvas there is train tracks and two smaller houses. Crossing the bridge is a man with a horse drawn wagon that has gone across the first covered bridge. On the side closer to the train tracks, are several figures, one of which is with a horse pulling a wagon. Along the bank of the river is a boy and his boat. In the background is a hill of trees. On the bottom left of the image, the piece is signed and dated, “Doney 12-90.” The piece was not taken out of the frame for examination. The piece is framed in a wooden frame. Normal wear is present.
