This lot consists of a landscape painting of what is reminiscent of the rural country side of Lancaster County Pennsylvania. Depicted in this painting are trees, fields and farms along with a small-town center in the middle ground. In the background are roaring hills and a church in the distance. This painting is signed on the lower corner “W. I. Mattern.” The painting is framed in a simple green frame, that is reminiscent of the colors seen in the fields and trees in the painting, with a slight golden colored detailing. The painting was not taken out of the frame for examination and normal wear is present.
Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).
