This lot consists of a hand drawn image of President Adams, the sixth president of the United States of America. The drawing appears to be done with black charcoal, shading and white for highlights. Full body portrait with one arm resting on several large texts and the other on the rail of chair. President Adams is depicted with large mutton chops and a rather stern look on his face, almost to depict the weight of the office that he held. The portrait is situated behind glass and framed in a simple wooden frame that is gold in color. Normal wear is present with a minor repair visible on the upper left corner of the image. Please take note that the glass on this piece is original and hand blown with minor imperfections present such as air bubbles. This glass is most likely from the 1700 to 1800's.
