Factory research shows rifle received in warehouse May 1st, 1889; case hardened, checkered stock, pistol grip, plain trigger, octagon barrel, .44 caliber. This rifle matches every aspect of the factory research and remains in strong all original condition. Features full octagon barrel, full magazine, Winchester sporting sights, deluxe checkered walnut stocks with pistol grip and ebony inlay, and rifle butt. The buttstock exhibits triple X fiery grain deluxe piano finish with sharp checkering and is proud to metal with no cracks or chips. Forend is in like condition with a couple of minor dents on right side. Barrel and tube are basically factory blue mixing with soft brown patina to give an overall homogeneous 90% look with razor sharp edges and legends. Left side of frame retains approximately 30-40% original case colors, balance simply toned with some freckling. Right side at 20%. Strong, bright colors on hammer. Lever is patina. Rifle buttplate with trapdoor. Strong clean bore and perfect action. Lovely untouched deluxe .44 caliber 1873 with good color.
