Manufactured in 1863. This pistol was exported to England but has New York barrel address with British proof marks on every cylinder flute as well as left side of barrel. Has all matching numbers to include wedge. Cylinder does not have a serial number. Safety pin is worn. Original nipples. Traces of plating on trigger guard and back strap. Beautiful, one piece varnished walnut grips with 85% original varnish. Five shot fluted cylinder and barrel, retain approximately 80% original blued finish which is starting to thin with high edge wear. Case colors have turned dark. Perfect action, strong and clean bore. Comes in a correct oak case with green lining, original paperwork instructions, cleaning rod, Colt stamped iron two cavity bullet mold, Joseph Dickson copper flask, several molded lead bullets, original lock and key, and Eley Bros. percussion cap tin with caps. Fine, old mid-Civil War set. CORRECTION: No number on the cylinder.
