This lot consists of a large portrait of President Harding. President Harding is depicted with a three quarter profile. He stands tall with one of his hands on the top and spine of a large leather bound book while he grasps something in his other hand. He is donned in a dark three piece suit with a white collard shirt and blue tie. It almost appears as if President Harding is smiling but ever so slightly however when looking into his eyes, one can see the weight that is put on his shoulders by his office. In the background on the right side sits a bust of President Lincoln. The painting is framed in a wooden gilt colored frame. Normal wear is present however there are minor areas where the canvas is deficient of paint and the edge of the canvas shows its age. The artist signed the painting in the lower right corner, along with a note.
