Hunting knife in very good condition with moderate wear on handle and pliable leather. Stamped "U.S. Springfield" and "111" on brass guard. Has an 8" spear point blade in excellent condition. Leather scabbard with brass accent and hanger. Scabbard is stamped "Rock Island W.T.G. S.R.". This is very similar to the trowel bayonet. 1917 knife hand guard is stamped "U.S. L.F. & C. 1917". Has brass hand guard with pyramids and wood handle. Blued spike blade measures 8-3/4". This is a genuine trench knife, not a reproduction.
