This lot consists of a portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was the 31st President of the United States of America. The manner in which the President is depicted, shows him with several pieces of paper scattered across his desk with three microphones, as if he is just about to give a press conference. The President’s body is a frontal view and his face is tiled slightly to the left and is in a ¼ profile as he appears to be deep in thought. One of his hands clutches the side of one of the pages on his desk, while the other is bent in front of him and clenched in a fist. The president is dressed in a grey colored jacket with white collared shirt and blue tie. He also dons a gold pinky ring, French cuff clips and a tie tack at the nape of his neck. In the background it appears as if there is a painting behind him, which represents classical themes. On the bottom right corner of the painting, it is dated 1933. This item was not taken out of the frame for examination and appears to have normal wear. The painting is framed in a wood golden colored frame.

Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).
