Manufactured for the U.S. government by H&R Arms Co. from February 1955 to end of production in 1957. Barrel is an H&R May 1955 (proper for gun). Bolt is stamped "D28287-12SA W9B" (replacement). Inside trigger group is stamped "65228290-SA" (replacement). The hammer is also a Springfield replacement "SA D554600". Left side of stock has the visible proper "DOD" cartouche that is visible but not readable. "P" in circle on wrist. Has an IHC (International Harvester) rear sight. Metal has the typical blue-black post-war arsenal finish. Stock is very good with the usual bumps and bruises. TE reading does not register. ME reading: 2.
