Presentation deluxe model. This rifle is so rare that in the book "The Ross Rifle Story", these rifles are covered from page 162-164 with only six examples, none of which features the deluxe checkering or the full nickel plating as found on this rifle. Features include full length deluxe walnut stock, deluxe hand checkering, factory nickel plated metal, sling swivels, trapdoor buttplate, rear peep sight and hooded front sight. Left side of stock is relief carved "CHIC" in oval. Sharp legends. Has Mother of Pearl inlay circles on both sides of forend. Wood stock is near mint with a few minor impressions. Metal retains virtually all of the nickel plate finish with some wear and bubbling on buttplate. It is unknown whether this presentation, plating and carving was done by the factory or privately for presentation. Strong bore and perfect action. Traveling hundreds of gun shows, one will probably never see a Model 1912 Cadet Ross and this is probably the only presentation grade ever manufactured.
