Comprised of: 1) Three Minie balls labeled from the Battle of Chickamauga. 2) Two steel brass button dies. 3) Rectangular silver-finished escutcheon reading: Presented to the Officer's Mess/2nd Life Guards/by/Major Vicount Downe/On leaving the Regiment/1886. 4) A horseshoe and hoof inscribed: Jolivet/1869/11 Artillerie. 5) A group of excavated artifacts, one a French Napoleonic eagle plate. 5) A rosette pin with five cylinders suspended by chains with pierced balls at top [aromatics?]. All with age wear and patina.
