Manufactured 1919. This early Browning patent, magazine fed, semi-automatic pistol is referred to as the Military Model due to a square butt and a left side lanyard ring. Features factory blue finish with Colt logo black composite grips, spur hammer and original magazine stamped "CAL. 38 COLT". Gun has survived in phenomenal all original condition. There is some high edge muzzle wear, the front grip strap exhibits some light patina mixing with high polish blue, as does rear grip strap and high exposed edges. This pistol retains approximately 95% of its original high polish factory blue finish with razor sharp edges and legends. Near mint bore and perfect action. An extremely nice example of desirable and early Colt automatic pistol.
