Matching number on barrel, frame and cylinder. The Mk VI was introduced in 1915 and was the standard military English service pistol for World War I. From 1915 to 1919 nearly all Mk VI Models were made strictly for the military. Left side of barrel is stamped "Mk VI". Left side of frame shows a Webley 1918 manufacturing date. Revolver is loaded with British proof marks including broad arrow, crown, etc. Has checkered black composite grips with lanyard ring. Metal is basically a brown patina. Rear of cylinder shows full serial number. Indexes perfectly. Strong clean bore. Nice surviving example of World War I British revolver.
