This Moxie Soda advertisement depicts President Theodore Roosevelt, who was strongly against the use of himself in this advertisement for Moxie Soda. In fact, he was so against it, that he lodged a formal protest against Moxie, as Moxie made it appear that he was endorsing them. Once the formal complaint was made, not too long after, Roosevelt announced, "Moxie people have agreed to remove this objectionable poster." This is a very difficult sign to find and only the second time we have sold one. It is dated 1898. The sign does have moderate edge wear with loss and some added holes. There is also some residue on the surface and some toning. This sign would be a great candidate for restoration.
Condition: (Good).
Item Dimensions: 28" x 22".
