Typical of the post-Civil War Meacham or Boker style conversions; features an extra heavy barrel with 1/2" flats, Lawrence stamped sight base with unusual elevator, sporting dovetail front sight. Barrel has no markings. Right side of frame has the Sharps 1852 patent. Left side of frame has the 1848 Sharps patent. Left side of barrel is stamped "MT" and a "P" with a crown. Hammer is hand checkered. Walnut forend is massive. Stock has the wide diamond checkered pattern at wrist. Stock is solid. Has a long range tang sight. Frame is basically grey patina with some case color patterns. Has double set triggers. Surprising, the bore has great rifling and is very clean. Underside front of barrel has an area where it looks like there was a target or bench rest base at one time. Impressive looking huge barreled Sharps.
