This revolver is referred to as the Model 1854 revolver, a nearly identical example can be seen on page 87, plate 3-16 in the book "Systeme Lefaucheux" by Curtis. Features an octagon to round barrel, dovetail front sight, trigger guard with sash spur, metal butt with lanyard, six shot, double action, two piece walnut grips with escutcheon. Basically grey patina. Right side of frame has the "LF" (Lefaucheux) emblem. Left side of frame is stamped "E. Lefaucheux". Strong rifled bore with minor abrasion. Needs some mechanical attention as the hand does not rotate the cylinder.
