Manufactured 1972. This standard issue, early Python features Colt high polish blue finish, six shot, double action, vent rib, target sights, solid lug, and gold medallion checkered walnut grips (smiley face). Cylinder has a light drag line, touch of edge wear at face of lug, and a hint of wear at left side of muzzle. Still retains 98% of the brilliant factory blue finish. Comes in the original period two piece walnut grain box, numbered to gun on bottom.
