This lot consists of a watercolor painting, entitled "Promenade Along the Canal," circa 1850, as noted by the didactic on the verso of the painting. Depicted in this image is a river in the center that vanishes off into the distance. On either side of the river there is activity with pedestrians, horses and wagons. The painting does a very nice job of using the vanishing point with the river and buildings all coming together in the distance. Normal wear is present, along with paint deficient areas, water damage, creases and tears in the painting. The painting is framed in a dark colored wooden frame behind glass.
Condition: (Good - Very Good).
