Originally manufactured by DWM for the German military in 1917. Chamber is dated 1917. Toggle is stamped "DWM" in script. Parts of the serial number, 1222, can be found on all the visible small parts. It appears as if the serial number 1222 on frame was stamped over some German imperial markings. Left rail is dated 1917. Has the straw and fire blued small parts. Left side of barrel has a Waffenamt 655. Checkered walnut grips are not numbered. Has aluminum bottom magazine that is matching to the gun. Retains 85-90% original blue, with most wear on the sideplate and high edge rails. Grips are excellent. This is a standard World War I German Army Luger that got reassigned and saw service during the Nazi Regime and World War II.
