High eagle helmet with copper front shield and copper eagle. Made by Cairns & Brothers. N.Y. Painted white, eight combs and gilded "1830" organization date on rear brim. Front shield reads "Humane #1 Pottsville, PA". Leather separation on front brim in overall good condition. Shield is excellent. Circa 1880.
