Winchester produced this commemorative rifle in 1969 to celebrate the great Theodore Roosevelt who ended his term in office in 1909. Features full octagon barrel, half magazine, rifle butt, saddle ring, sporting sights, with nickel plated buttplate, forend cap, trigger, frame and hammer. Special engraving on both sides of frame and special "TR" coin on right side of buttstock. Plain pistol grip walnut stock. This was the first commemorative to feature anything but a straight stock and a full magazine. Rifle in unfired in original box with paperwork and nice decorative outer sleeve.
