Manufactured in the early 1970's, these high quality rifles were some of the finest replicas of the original rare Springfield Officer's Model 1875. They are all American made and chambered for the standard .45-70 cartridge. The most obvious lack of originality is that these rifles should have been factory installed with an 1873 rifle rear sight. Gun is in as new condition inside and out. Features full round barrel; case colored frame, sideplate, lock and hammer; checkered walnut stock and long range target tang sight. Engraving on sideplate, frame and block.
