Winchester produced the Lone Star short rifle in 1970. Features part octagon barrel, full magazine, short forend, plain fluted pistol grip walnut stock, sporting sights. "LONE STAR COMMEMORATIVE" stamped on tang and barrel. Special features include special coin on right side of stock; special pistol grip cap stamped "TEXAS"; stars around border of frame; and gold plated buttplate, lever, frame, nose cap and magazine end cap. Left side of frame is stamped "1845 - 1970". Frame features contrasting blue screws and saddle ring. Rifle is as new in box, unfired with all original paperwork and decorative sleeve.
